The church is located in old Goa. It abides as a lasting monument of the subjugation of goa by Albuquerque. As you move into the church, you will find a statue of Our Lady Of Peity.
Church of St. Francis Of Assisi churches
A 17th century old church is posed at old Goa. Shaped like an octagon tabernacle and richly ornate, the church has two statues, where one is of Jesus and other of St. Francis Of Assisi.
Below the two statues are inscripted the vows of humility, obedience and poverty of St. Francis Of Assisi.
Basilica of Bom Jesus Church, Old Goa
Located in old goa, the church displays architectural pieces in stone, wood, granite and gold. Altar of St. Anthony lies on the right and St. Francis Xavier wooden stature is on left.

The church is constructed of laterite plastered with slaked lime mortar and the wooden rafters supports the roof .The chapel of St. Francis Xavier is A place of worship that has only one altar.
